The Australian Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique welcomes yoga practitioners to its annual conference for 2016. The AUSTAT conference will be held from 29-31 July at the beautiful Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne.
Our keynote speaker is Dr Theodore Dimon, founder of the Dimon Institute, New York. Dr Dimon will lead our conference theme, drawing on his extensive experience with the Alexander Technique, human anatomy and with particular reference to his new book, Neurodynamics: The Art of Mindfulness in Action.
David Moore, author of the recently published ‘Yoga and the Alexander Technique: Intelligent Injury-Free Yoga’ will be running a practical workshop for yoga teachers and other presenters will be offering a wide range of workshops and presentations on topics including voice, Embodied Anatomy, Salsa, health and well-being in the workplace, vision improvement, Alexander technique for musicians and other performing artists etc.
